Hi, I am 17 years old. I have a disease called SpinoCerebella Ataxia type 1 and also have anxiety which is making things much more difficult for me; I know Anxiety can be treated- support,tips and help will really help right now.

Sorry to hear about your condition. I really don't know if my words could help you or even make a difference.

Let's be very honest, every single individual has some kind of disease and on top of that there is anxiety. Even, I am not an exception.

It pains me to see that even young people like you, are having a hard time and this itself shows that anxiety happens irrespective of age. I wasn't aware of what Spinocerebella Ataxia was, so I just read about it before I made any comments/suggestions that won't help you at all.

It seemed to me that your problem was a serious one and anxiety on top of it simply makes it difficult for you. I am sure your doctor is helping in every possible way, so let's concentrate on the second problem.

I have found that light to moderate exercises works best if done for 45 minutes a day. Long walk on weekends work wonders too. Breathing exercises helps one to stabilize oneself and it also diverts your attention from negative thoughts. Never isolate yourself from your surrounding and have some company. Do what makes you and others happy.

Thanks for your response! I will definetly benefit from your advice. I actually had the ilness when I was 12 it pains me aswell because I grew up in a poor family and Ataxia took me by 12 and I didn't get a life like others; everyday I cry because I'm the odd one out in the family ("the ill one") i ask God why? Why me? I always dreamed of becoming a fit person with a family but I dnt think that will happen. I don't know what any girl would see in me. I will do what you have adviced and let you know the results.

Anyway, others aren't doing much service to the humanity. Therefore, thinking that one must live a life like everyone else would yield nothing.

When it comes to what a girl could see in you, I strongly feel that she should look for the love, compassion and kindness within you. If she is unable to see those then it is her loss.
