Is it best to avoid caffeinated drinks and sugary foods when you have anxiety? What foods or drinks can help the anxiety/panic as well?

I feel a bit lost without drinking tea, I used to drink it everyday.

Aozora___3, Tea is a comforting drink that you don't have to give up by using Decaf. Avoiding caffeinated beverages can help immensely with anxiety because of the caffeine, sugar and fizz. Sugary foods tend to make us hyper. I've never been a believer of sugar substitutes and anyway some of them caused me panic however, eating anything in moderation is okay.

Fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins can help with a more balanced diet allowing the body to not ebb and spike but rather keep you on an even keel. More than a good diet, we need to include exercise, relaxation/meditation and learning to live a more positive life.

Are you still a medical student? Wish you well with your studies xx

Just looked at the lables and no no caffeine I guess they wouldn't be able to market them as de caffeinated either ?

When my son and I stopped having caffeine we both suffered headaches for about a week but once over that the difference was brilliant
