Has anyone with anxiety attacks or panic attacks every felt like you were not real or anything around you was real? Sorta like you're just watching from another point?

Non-existent
Yes.. it’s called Depersonalization/derealization and I’m going on a year with it.
Does it ever go away? It sounds so bad but I honestly looked at my husband and was like "honey,am I really here, like alive and is what's happening right now really real?"
I have this. And it will go away. But even if it will comeback, you’ll be able to control it as you know that its just anxiety. You’ll get used to them.
It gets better for sure. I am on medication now and I’m not suffering like when it first started. And I know that feeling you are talking about too well. Are you taking anything?
HopingCat, I was just thinking about you, every time I see a new post on DP/DR. I am so happy that you are getting relief from the medication you are on. I know it's been a long hard struggle for you. Wish you continued success in going forward. Stay positive. xx
Hateanxiety, derealisation is your mind's way of trying to help you by distancing you from your anxious situation but of course it's not the sort of help we want. I noticed it 40 years ago before anybody gave it a name so I didn't pay much attention to it and somewhere along the way it went away. When your anxiety resolves it will pass too. The only times I feel it these days is in very brightly lit supermarkets or crowded places if I'm tired.
I thank everyone for the help and understanding
