I hate this

So this evening i got really dizzy and felt my heart race. I checked my blood pressure and it was normal but with in 30 mins it went up to 148/78 and my pulse was 104. I took a Xanax .25 mg and with in an hour everything was back down but i still just feel like something is off i hate this bc now it’s 10:51 and I’m sitting in the er bc im scared it’s something to do with my heart bc my pulse won’t go down under 80 and it’s normally in the 60’s

Xanax has a very short half life. Talk to your Dr about Klonopin. It does about the same thing as Xanax but has a longer half life.

Xanax should lower your pulse if anything.

Welcome to my world . Your pb is fine . Mine goes up to 180/106 and pulse anything up to 138 . I take Kalma (Xanax ) when needed but can’t live on it . My anxiety has been great but last week horrific

Yeah i was doing good til wham out of the blue get dizzy and things go to shit. 5 hours later I’m told just heart palpitations. Which I’m glad it’s nothing worse but i get sick and tried of it just being anxiety related. There has to be a way to deal with it better

Yep I felt really nauseous , achy just terrible a few days then bang anxiety at it’s worse . Hate it with a passion . Went to work today and heart rate nothing under 100 all morning 😡 and just felt the worst

Hey Jodz, it’s interesting you mention nausea, because for the past few days, i’ve felt my symptoms again, which are a fluttery racey heart, exhaustion and some nausea. So maybe the nausea IS part of the anxiety package?

Aliciar, 104 pulse shouldn’t scare you. Mine does the same, when i’m feeling symptomatic, like I did today. I’m not going to lie, I let it scare me a little when it went up to 110bpm, was skipping several beats per minute, and wasn’t slowing down. It felt uncomfortable and I started thinking “what if it doesn’t slow down this time?” “What if they have to shock my heart? or they overdose me on drugs trying to slow it down?” I had to stop what if’ing, trust that I was ok, that my nerves must’ve gotten sensitized over the holidays, and choose to let my heart run fast for a while while the stress hormones are flowing.

Your nervous. Your heart rate is going to be higher. It’s still not too high at all. BP normally is 100 plus your age not to exceed 150. Of course it goes up and down just like your heart rate with anxiety, stress, diet, exercise etc. Your not even abnormal. 60 is very low norm. With everything you have said I have thought anxiety, anxiety, anxiety. That and that all are your numbers are normal. Textbook numbers don’t apply life situations such as activity, diet, stress etc.

I hope you get the comfort you need from the ER.

The anxiety Anthony will make you feel worse. Trust that you are better off having that medicine. That should help you find comfort. I know that’s hard but you have to trust your doctor.
