Anyone else get cramps whilst on Propanolol. Over the last few days I've been getting cramp in my calves and this morning when I woke up I had cramp in my thigh. Sometimes my arms cramp too but mostly my legs. It worries me as every symptom I google points to heart attack symptoms. I know googling is the worst thing to do but I'm panicking.

Cramps
Jane, have you had a look at the side effects listed on the leaflet that accompanies the propanolol? Does it mention cramps? That's the first thing to look for. If it doesn't mention cramps then they're not the result of the propanalol.
I thought I knew all the symptoms of heart attack but had never heard of thigh and leg cramps as being among them. Why do you think you're going to have a heart attack, has your doctor told you that one is likely?
If not go and have a word with your doctor and see if he/she thinks you're a candidate for a heart attack. If not then the cramps must be some other cause like a shortage of salt in your diet - or ANXIETY!
Hi thanks for the reply. No actually my hearts healthy apparently. I know I should listen to the Drs. I took the leaflet out the box yet cannot find it at the minute. Perhaps I've accidentally binned it whilst tidying. I guess I am just trying to get used to all these symptoms I am experiencing.
Hi firstly thankyou for replying. Unfortunately I have lost the leaflet that came with the box of tablets. I am experiencing leg cramps as I type. Also I have pains in my hands. On the plus side I've not had a panic attack since taking them but these side effects are worrying.
After what Molly has said you should stop the propranolol right away, you can always Google it and find the leaflet that accompanies the tablets and print it out so your doctor knows for sure.
I know I'm feeling a little disappointed myself that I may have to come of them. They've really helped control my panic attacks. The first week I had no side effects at all.
