I was hearing voices

A month ago, I was hearing voices. They only said my name, but in a frustrated tone because I wasn't responding. I was very strange mainly because it felt like it was coming from inside my head because it was almost dream like, but it felt like the sound came in through my ears. Usually when I heard them I felt a little disconnected and sad/anxious about something I couldn't place. When I heard them I got really scared and everytime I would run out of the area...

Has anyone had any similar experiences? Is this something I should be more concerned about?

Hi bmilb, I have not experienced this myself but have heard of some who do. Since we are not doctors, it would be best that you consult your psychiatrist. I noticed your last post said that you were on medication. It could possibly be caused by the med or dose that you are on. You do need to refer to the prescribing doctor to get some answers. When we are tired odd phrases and words and names can enter our minds, I don't know why. But it's nothing untoward, just let them come and let them go, they have no meaning. Unless you hear the name of the winner of the 2.30 race at Sandown Park in which case could you let us know.
