Hello! Could anxiety cause vision problems such as eyes feeling tired and like everything looks slightly blurry all the time? I’m afraid that I’m going to go blind or there’s something else wrong😕 I’m only 19
I wear glasses and I had an eye exam 2 years ago and my eyes were healthy then but I would like to get another one also for contacts

yes, ive had glasses since i was 4 (39 now) and ever since anxiety struck my eyes have been so bad. blurry, sometimes double vision, sometimes everything just looks off.. went to eye dr she did the whole testing / xrays etc and said eye pressure was normal and was all anxiety.
Yes eyes most definitely respond to anxiety. Symptoms can include temporary slight blurring, shimmering effect along horizontal structures, sensitivity to light, scintillating scotomata, shadows and black spots when you blink your eyes looking at a light coloured background...but not all at the same time, thank Heavan.
At 19 you're unlikely to have any structural problems but it's always good to get your eyes looked at by an optician every now and then. Anything major like blind spots and sparkling flashing lights and masses of floaters require immediate attention. In London Moorfields Eye Hospital near Old Street subway station offers a 24 hour/365 day walk in A&E service, very few eye A&Es about.
