Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 2 years. And up until yesterday and today, this has never happened to me. Lastnight, we came home and were going about our business and were having sex and then all of the sudden panic struck me and i had to stop, needless to say i layed down in the bed, managed to calm myself down and ended up falling asleep. Thankfully he is very underatanding. I it happened again tonight, it went away fully about 20 minutes after finishing. But i really dont want this to become a regular thing, in my opinion sex is a pretty important aapect of the relationship. I know he understands completely and it doesnt bother him. But has anyone else experienced this?? I have no history of being raped or sexual assault so this is really mind boggling. Please help

Hi , I had this happen to me as well , do you know what triggered yours ? , mine happen because I fear my anxiety & panic attacks. When I had sex with my boyfriend ' my mind sudden made me think of anxiety and all of the symptoms hat came with it ... of course it ruined the moment to where we had to stop . I hate it and sometimes it still happens :( , our minds are vary powerful is all I can say. Sometimes we can just be doing something we like or be doing nothing and then get a panic attack or anxiety attack . It sucks!!!😩

It could be just the physical symptoms of sex triggering the panic as it does mimic panic symptoms in a way.

The worst thing you can do though is keep running away from ur panic. You can try to stop having sex but stay there with the panic symptoms until they subside then continue. Avoidance and fleeing will strengthen ur panic even though it feels like a relief for you to leave

I wondered if they heavy breathing and fast heart rate wasnt what brought it on.
