Can the anxiety itself cause this? My pulse rate is up though but I'm feeling very anxious I'm at the doctors office right now

Of course. A quick glance of your previous posts would suggest that it is all anxiety as you appear to be monitoring yourself very closely looking for the slightest physical change and then panicking/stressing/obsessing over it. Classic anxiety behaviour. Changes in heart rate happen all the time to everyone. It’s normal and those without anxiety pay very little attention to it. You have just become fixated with it because you have anxiety. It it wasn’t your health, your anxiety would be picking on something else for you to stress over. The human body can adapt itself to long periods of stress. It’s just excessive adrenalin which does raise the heart rate because it’s preparing you to either fight the perceived threat or make a bolt for it to the nearest exit. Your body and fight/flight mechanism are only doing what it was designed to do. Protect you from danger and all harmless stuff. It’s only got a bit trigger happy because of your anxious state. Learn to let it all go, lose the fear and all will be well.

Stop trying!!! The harder you try to do anything to rid yourself of anxiety, the longer it stays. You are doing this to yourself by fighting. Just accept that it is all anxiety and learn to be comfortable about not being comfortable. The anxiety is creating these fears about your health and you are falling for it, hook, line and sinker. It’s like a stranger telling you stories which you suspect deep down are complete bullshit but you choose to believe them. They are bullshit so don’t entertain those stories being created by your anxious mind. Got it?

Jmerrick22, how did you make out at the doctors today. And yes anxiety can cause you to feel an overwhelming warmth come over you when you are anxious. :)

Very inflamed sinuses . Sinus infection. She said this could be the cause

Ahhh sounds like you might have had a low grade fever. In either case, sounds like you may not be too comfortable right now. Hope you have something that will help you get through this. Get well soon.
