Hi:) does anyone else get really tight muscles between their shoulder blades from anxiety? I didn’t really know they were that tight until asked my chiropractor about tingling arms and she felt the muscles there and they feel really tight and sore when she pressed on them

This is me literally 24/7 I get it in my neck and shoulder blades. It's very annoying and I get right chest muscles too . They say that muscle tightening then loosening is good. I can't think of the exact name lol I'm sorry. But yes this so very normal with anxiety

I get tight chest muscles almost daily! It's so annoying ☹️

I have come to realize that I carry most of my anxiety in my back and neck and it causes me headaches and hand and arm tingles and pain. I am always stiff and it takes focus for me to try to relax myself because it can be a vicious circle since the anxiety causes us to tighten our muscles which in turn causes aches and pains that make our anxiety worse ect...

Do you ever get pain on your left arm

all the time and the first thing that always comes to mind of course is I am having a heart attack. I believe the pain in the left arm is honestly my anxiety messing with my mind. it is probably normal pains but due to being so oversensitive to any aches and pains and we hone in on the pain and blow it out of porportion. plus there are many other systems that would occur then just arm pain. try not to stress about it or pay it much attention.

I just ordered a moist neck heating pad from ebay a second ago because of this same issue, its been going on a month i've been to physical therapy, shot in the neck now a chiroprator and just left my dr appt and even he said "wow your traps are tight" they are so bad that i get tingling in upper back and down arms. i've tried hot baths, showers, epsomn salt, I find magnesium works a little at night. Next i'll try a massage.

Hi Wilburbudgirl. I too can relate. I have such tension in my back and neck also shoulder blades. I had massages and they help for a day or so then again the tension and tightness is there.I stand in the hot shower and let the hot water hit as hot as I can stand it. I've tried changing pillows, mattresses and I suppose I'm just having to deal with this. There will be a day or two when it's not as tight as other days. Some bad days even get the burning sensation as if I worked out for hours :(

I know it’s so hard to believe it’s from anxiety but since it came with the anxiety I’m sure that is just what it is....even though I still freak out at everything
