I'm starting to wonder if it's the anxiety itself or the medicine, because I didn't have it really before . I'm starting a new job next week in a new area and I have health anxiety also . Anybody get like this
Second week of Prozac and lightheaded and ... - Anxiety Support
Second week of Prozac and lightheaded and whoozy off and on
I tried Prozac for a full 5 weeks. I have maybe 1 good week on it. My psychologist helped me thorough the 5 weeks. At first I was mostly numb to my surroundings and didnt like that feeling. After a while I felt more uncomfortable. I decided after 5 weeks to stop taking it. I think I had a small amount of withdrawal and xanax helped with that. My psychologist later agreed with me.. it was not the med for me. In conclusion, you need to give Prozac at least 1 month. Decide if you had some better days and make a decision if you wish to move forward. It takes time for you know if it will work. Right now I manage my anxiety with Xanax as needed. Some days are worse.. some days are good. I stress over the meds-- because i dont want to rely on them, but I need them. I see my psychologist at least once a month (in good and bad times).
Exactly , it kinda makes me feel numb to my surroundings. Like you don't feel real kinda , idk it's hard to explain. It's probably the anxiety of gonna start a new job, gotta find a house , worried about money etc
I think you need to give it more time. Continue to talk through your feelings on the medication. Give it a full 4 weeks and decide if you feel better. Its not going to be easy, but you are the only one that knows how you feel. You are not alone. I was just thinking today how medication has made me feel better, but i had taken a xanax to "feel better", but i need it.
