Alcohol and Depression and Anxiety

Hi Tamka. Hear ur feeling crappy. I totally understand feeling yuck. I have horrible anxiety aND depression, for many years.
Hi,
Sorry you are feeling awful today.
Have you spoken to any medical professionals about it? That might be a good idea.
I know people who used to put things like Red Bull or other highly caffeinated mixers.
So if you be caffeine withdrawl that is making you feel bad. I know that because I worked beside someone who used to complain about feeling awful at weekends and when he was on holiday. I had noticed that because our company provided free tea and coffee that he used to have a large collection of coffee cups sitting on his desk and only binned then at the end of the day. We worked out he was drinking up to 10 cups of coffee at work and nothing when he was at home. He sought advise from his doctor and reduced the number of cups of coffee he drank at work and felt much better.
Also if you are not drinking water or other fluids to replace your alcohol, depending you how much you drank maybe you could be dehydrated. I know about dehydration because I had to learn about the importance of staying hydrated when I was a volunteer coach.
Do you know if you need to speak to someone urgently there are support charities like the Samaritans and Breathing Space if you are in the UK that you can call.
Sorry your family doesn't understand you. It is hard for some people to understand Mental Health Issues because they can't see it.
Take care.
Oh it's going to be okay 😊some family try to understand but can't all the way 😔
I I'm An alcoholic sober 25 years I still suffer with depression and anxiety your not alone
If you are just stopping drinking and need someone to talk to, may want to try AA. Meetings every day somewhere and that's what they are all about. If your family doesn't understand at the moment, go to AA where they do understand and can help you stay dry and get stable.
