Hi there is was on this myself and it should not be having this effect on you its supposed to help you relax sounds like a possibility let side effect think you need to speak to your gp about this and try to lower the dose or maybe you might need something different xx
Thank you for your comments. Not going to take it tonight. Due to take it now and the burning chest is still there. Will phone Doctor on Monday and see what he says.
I was on Zoloft for a week and told the doctor to shove it . I was having all kinda bad thoughts I was panicky crying had two panic attacks etc . I hated it !!! Although it works different for everyone . Definitely call the dr and let them know this . For me the best thing for me was Prozac. I'm gonna try and go back on it . I just wanna feel like a functional adult again
I'm on day 13 of it and I've finally started feeling the side effects going away the last few days. A heightened level of anxiety that can cause panic attacks is one of the side effects. I've had nausea and insomnia with it was well, but those are going away too.
My doc said it would be 2-3 weeks before the side effects went away and was very up front about they might be pretty bad, but to try and stick with it. He said it might be 4-5 before my anxiety really starts getting better.
I was prescribed that two years ago ..I took it reluctantly. I ended up having about 5 panic attacks one after the other..I genuinely thought I was going to die..never again. I contacted my GP and the chemist the next day and drank copious amounts of water...this condition is crippling and it's only those who have it understand.
