Hi, I am new here and an executive in a big company in Mexico, and although I am far away, I have found this site to be of very good support for those of us who suffer the struggle of anxiety.
I have a lot of things to be happy about (my wife and 5 kids are the best of the best), but my job gives me a lot of anxiety and stress. I live in constant fear of failing and being let go, therefore letting down my family. I am ashamed of being an executive and having this issues.

Hi munrapz, never be ashamed of having anxiety issues. Being an executive comes with it's demands. You are human and that makes you vulnerable to anxiety and stress. It sounds like you have a beautiful family to come home to every night. You are putting a lot of undo stress on yourself by living in constant fear of failing. It's like the "what ifs" are taking over in your thoughts. Worrying about things that haven't even happen. Concentrate more on the positive things about you that brought you to where you are in the company. No one should have to prove their worth everyday. It's draining physically and emotionally. We may not be able to control what happens around us but we certainly have control over how we react to a situation.
Munrapz, take some "me" time at night to just refocus in who you are. Anxiety may be in your life due to your job but it doesn't describes who you are as an executive. We're here if you need support and understanding. My best to you
