I had the same problem for a while too. There wasn't much i could do except ignore it bwcause the more you think about it and give in to it the worse youe anxiety gets and then the worse the dizziness or any other symptom gets. It's an awful cycle but once the anxiety gets better you start to feel more clear headed.

anxietycentre.com is great because if you go to the symptoms section and scroll all the way to the bottom there's a HUGE list of every symptom you can get from anxiety and if you click on the symptom it gives an explanation as to why it happens. Heres part of what it says about dizziness/lightheadedness

Hyper- and hypoventilation - taking in too much or too little oxygen. Hyper and hypoventilation can change the CO2 levels in the blood, which can cause a myriad of anxiety-like symptoms, such as dizziness.

An active stress response - behaving in an apprehensive manner activates the stress response. The stress response secretes stress hormones into the bloodstream where they bring about specific physiological, psychological, and emotional changes that enhance the body’s ability to deal with a threat - to either fight with or flee from it - which is the reason the stress response is often referred to as the fight or flight response.

Some of the stress response changes cause the body to shunt blood to body parts vital for survival and away from those that aren’t. These changes also cause the heart rate and respiration to increase. And many more. These changes alone can cause a person to feel ‘dizzy’ and lightheaded.

Persistently elevated stress - stress impacts the body’s nervous system. Too much stress can cause the nervous system to act in odd ways, which can affect our sense of balance. If you’ve been under a lot of stress lately, this stress could be the cause of your dizzy feeling.

Fatigue: Behaving in an overly apprehensive manner stresses the body, and a body that’s under sustained stress can become overworked and tired. Dizziness commonly occurs when we’re over

Hope this helps!

I know that feeling all too well. I still get boughts of dizziness when my anxiety and stress levels get really high. LowkeyLoki has given you some great advise. You asked how wax can cause dizziness, it can affect the air pressure in your ear and the inner ear canal is responsible for our balance so if your ears are blocked it can cause dizziness. My dizziness was caused by my very high blood pressure and eased a bit when I got my blood pressure under control.

I also find that I get really sore heads if I have not drunk enough water during the day. We should be drinking about 8 glasses of water a day (well fluids really, but water is best). So maybe checking if you are getting enough fluids might help.

I use a sleep plan to help me relax before I go to bed and get some decent sleep. This helps me to be less stressed the next day and helps control the dizziness. I know recognize the headaches and dizziness as a warning I need to do more to control the stress and I have learnt various techniques that I use during the day to help.

I will be checking out the anxietycentre.com website to see if I can pick up other useful tips for myself.

My local NHS authority runs a Stress Control class which is a 6 weeks program where they talk about everything from what causes stress, diet, exercise, sleep and much more. They provide you with good booklets to help you. I found it very useful, so it is always good to check what is available in your local area.

Take care and I hope the dizziness gets better soon.

I was just tAlking about dizziness with another member. We both are experiencing dizziness like being on a boat at all times. I am going to try the wax drops. We are kind of accepting the symptoms and this helps decrease the anxiety. May also see an EMT at some point. Do you take medications at all? May be side effect. My last thing is it may be hormonal, my symptoms get much worse with my period. Considering going back on pill. You are not alone, try to think positive, this will not kill us and we will get better!
