I'm the same. I wake up in hell every morning. Severe anxiety and dread in the pit of my stomach along with depersonalisation. Most evenings it seems to lift off and I think to myself "phew I'm back"

I don't know why this is though. I know cortisol levels are supposed to be higher in the morning so could be something to do with that. Also I've read clinical depression has a diurnal pattern. May also be something to do with the fear of getting through the day ahead . I truly hate mornings though.

Same here i dread the mornings alot but its noon where iam and im almost bck 2 myself. Just prayin 4 better days

I'm the same way evening and night time are when I feel the most relaxed. I read that cortisol in the body is highest around 8 am because back in the primitive days we needed that "kick" to get us up and moving to look for food. For me it's also because I feel like i should be getting so much done during the day and only feel like it's justified to relax in the evening. It's so weird. I try to wake up and start my day by doing something i really enjoy and savoring it. Doesn't have to be anything big but I look forward to just setting time to drink my tea or coffee and watching Jerry Springer (makes me feel better about myself lol) or read something. Working out in the morning might help too, I've yet to follow my own advice on that one though

Yeah when you feel anxious the second you open your eyes it makes it hard to think positive, some days will be better than others

Sometimes we feel we have to prove ourselves to the world. This is prevelant greeting the day. At night we are more relaxed feeling happy the day is over and that perhaps it wasn't so bad. Yet, in the morning we start to punish ourselves with the same thoughts over again.

Our cortisol levels are naturally high in the morning. It also depends what your triggers are my anxiety tends to be higher in the morning when I am getting sorted for working taking daughter school etc but lower in the evening as I'm at home and can relax. Work out what your triggers are and start some breathing exercises when you wake up xx
