I recently got BPPV which went away with the Epley Maneuver. I have been slowly getting better after months of thinking my vertigo attacks were anxiety attacks. Anyways, positional vertigo is gone but I still had unsteadiness. today decided to have a shot espresso and now I have this anxious floating feeling. When I stop moving I feel like I'm floating but it came with the anxiety after the espresso.
I am wondering if anxiety can cause floating or perhaps this is a side effect of vestibular therapy I did today which not sure if I should do since they say the unsteadiness with BPPv resolves without treatment up to 3 months .

Hi Sacolucci....I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better and that the positional vertigo went away. I would think the floating sensation you are feeling is more from the shot expresso. The high levels of caffeine would affect both your anxiety and possibly the vestibular. Hope that feeling goes away soon. Take care.
Thank you. It seems to be subsiding. Are you on medication for your anxiety? I never went on medication but as I get older it's so much harder to function. Everything is amplified because of the anxiety.
I've been diagnose with vertigo how did you deal with the floating feeling I feel like my body is so light an fragile my head feels heavy an off balance an it's scaring me
Me too ! Except I haven't been diagnosed . But I have been to the doctor. I feel floating with a heavy head as well . Almost like a unreal feeling and definitely off balance.
yea I got an ct scan Wednesday but it's crazy because anxiety have made me feel like this before but it'll go away when I lay down but with this I can't find relief an it's been like this since Friday it feels so unreal I don't feel normal at all my arms an legs seem like they're not there sometimes
Yea I just started having bad anxiety this year so I'm not use to feeling like this I guess that's why I'm scared on top of having vertigo I have mononucleosis so it's just horrible but when I'm busy I hardly pay attention to the feelings it just feels like I'll fall over at any minute
I feel the same . And makes my heart start to pound and my hands get sweaty and all of a sudden I feel like some surreal zoomed in type feeling like I'm gonna faint .
I believe my anxiety wreaks havoc on my vestibular system. I often have floaty feelings and acute episodes of bppv. This one th second time I got full blown vertigo and it happened under stressful times
So when I get extremely anxious and have a lot of things going on my life including racing thoughts and a bit of depression I start to get positional vertigo. When I turn over in bed or have my head in certain positions I spin. And in between attacks, I just have this off balance unsteady feeling.
