To afraid to start sertraline

Hi all I'm new to this

Iv been suffering with anxiety and panic attacks last 2 year

I finally went to the doctors and she gave me 50mg of sertraline to take daily only thing is I'm terrified to start them after reading horrible side effects but I now I need help any advice please

Hi I was on setraline 200 daily for 5 months it sets u back at 1st but then it does help alot I just found after 5 months I needed something stronger but initially it did help so definitely give it a try to start with if u feel u really need something . I am a huge believer tho that if u can do it without medication it is much better for u wish u good luck x

Thanks for the reply kel34 I have tried different stuff over the last 2 years yoga meditation reiki vitamins etc nothing seems to be working

This is my last hope just wish I had the courage to take it

My friend takes it, has been on it for years, give it a go 👍🏼

Thanks lynnetod thinking of starting tomorrow morn hopefully side effects won't be so bad

You can only try it, give it a chance to settle into your system. I don't know much about it, maybe ask the others about the side effects at the start so you are prepared for it 👍🏼
