I can only say that I had a significant person die, quite some time ago, my sister who was only 32 years old, I was so very close to her. She died suddenly snd unexpectantly, leaving three small children. I didn't think I'd ever get over the loss, the truth is you don't .
I still to this day think of her every day.
People say it gets easier over time, it doesn't, you just get used to the fact that you won't see them again.
I keep her in my head and heart, I talk about her all of the time, look at pictures , talk to her now grown children about her.
She's not here in body but my god , she's right with me in spirit and thoughts.
You're husband will always be with you . Don't forget that.
I'm not widowed but I had my heart broken 10 years ago - and it took me a long, long, time to get over the sense of loss. I know it sounds trite, but time heals. Do you have a good network of friends? Do you have passions/interests you enjoy? Have you tried to meet a new man?
I lost my dad 2 years ago i was very close to him and he suddenly died of kidney failure. I was devastated and my mom forget it about it she is still lost only thing that helps her a little is her faith in God. I drank much more i was a mess its true they will always be with you and you will never completly get over it but with time trust me you will get stronger even if it takes longer then 5 years just remember he will be there when you go but right now tjere is a purpose in your life. God bless you be strong. And do you have any kids?
