Sounds like a panic attack because you are so worried that they have missed something which is totally normal with anxiety. Stay strong X

Yeah panic attacks can vary as not all are the same. Some people experience hard to breath, heart palputations, sweating, dizziness, lightheadedness, feeling like you are falling, feeling like you are going to die etc... Depending on the person it all varies. You can also experience some of the symptoms with anxiety depending on what it is you are anxious about. I don't take medications as I'm phobic about them due to a bad experience so I can't help you with that. Stay strong X

Bluswife, you say you've been examined by several doctors and they say your problem is anxiety. You say yourself you've had panic attacks in the past which are of course caused by anxiety. But you still say your symptoms are caused by something else.

May I suggest that if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck then it's probably a duck. In other words I think you can be absolutely certain it's anxiety. The problem is you don't appreciate just how bad anxiety can make you feel and the wide number of forms it can take. That's why you haven't been able to accept that it's all anxiety.

Let me tell you something about anxiety: there are two forms. The first is the everyday anxiety that everyone feels from time to time, anxiety about going for a job interview, anxiety about getting work done on time.

What I believe you have and many, many people on this forum is a more intense and more permanent form of anxiety. You see, Bluswife, if we experience stress and worry over a long period our nervous system becomes highly sensitised. It goes on the blink. You start to feel all sorts of symptoms that seem a lot like real physical illness. But no matter how real they feel, they're not. They are fake symptoms caused purely by your over sensitised nervous system that extends throughout your body.

Once you understand that, how anxiety disorder works and the many forms it can take, it should give you some reassurance because you know it's all fake it can't kill you, can't damage your mind and body in any permanent way. And the good news is, it's reversible but it takes a bit of practice and perseverance on your part. It's not a five-minute fix, no magic pills or wands exist that make it all go away in an instant. If you ever find one, please let us all know, we'd love to know it exists, but nobody on this forum has ever heard of such a quick fix.

What you must do to recover is to stop fighting, stop continually testing yourself, because that just causes more tension and stress. Instead you must frame your mind to ACCEPT all the rotten feelings for the time being.Don't react with second fear when first fear strikes. Instead just feel every muscle in your entire body relax and go limp. It's like standing in the sea and letting the waves break over you. So just ACCEPT all the symptoms that your over sensitised nerves throw at you and remember those symptoms are imposters, merely blips in your tired nerves, they really don't exist in the organic sense. If you can manage to accept, again and again and again, then you stop adding further fear and anxiety to your over stressed nerves, and fear and anxiety are what stressed nerves feed on. If you can accept for long enough then your sensitised nerves will pack their bags and leave. Good riddance - and you will feel tranquil and free from anxiety.

Bluswife, if what I've said makes sense to you then go to Amazon and read the book written many years ago by a doctor who experienced everything you're experiencing and more. And she managed to cure herself with what she calls the ACCEPTANCE method. And she wrote down how others couldcure themselves with her method and over the years hundreds of thousands have been cured. It works for all. The book to buy is 'Hope and help with your nerves' by Claire Weekes also called 'Self help with your nerves' in the UK. It's short, easy for tired minds to understand and you can even pick up a used copy on Amazon for one cent and a few dollars. What have you got to lose?
