New medication.

So I am on klonopin for my anxiety. But yesterday at my doctors appt they put me on something new for the acid in my stomach.( which is caused from my anxiety). I was very afraid to take this because I absolutely hate hate hate taking medication. Especially when its new and I have no idea what will happen. I never in my life had problems talking medications up until my anxiety got really bad 2 months ago. The doctor told me yesterday that if I don't take it then his hands are tied with me. Because I get a lot of pains in my body and in my chest and some of it could be from the acid. Plus my gallbladder isn't good at all. But he said lets take care of the acid and rule that out before we take your gallbladder out.. So I took the new medication at 11 and its like im sitting here waiting for something to happen. I keep telling myself that you are fine just breath. But man oh man it is hard. I hate new meds!

I'm the same way.... I do everything possible to avoid starting new meds... However I did have to start taking Prilosec a few months ago due to a upper gastric ulcer and I didn't have any reaction at all.. I don't know what new medicine your own but if it's anything similar to Prilosec you shouldn't have any problems best of luck

Mine is called Protonix. I put stuff in my head and make it seem like its happening when in reality most of it is just my anxiety talking. I take things way too far with my anxiety

I'm the same way ... My anxiety causes me to take every little health issue to the extreme

Hi.. Nothing will happen .. Re medicine .. Hopefully just your tummy pains will reduce that's all.. I take both too sometimes .

I'm sure you'll be fine. Keep telling yourself that only good can come from this, it can sort out your tummy problems and you can move on to the next thing, getting everything sorted one by one.
