Hi , I am new here. I’ve taken medication for my anxiety in the past but it didn’t work for me so my doctor prescribed me something else today but it’s only 0.25 mg, I felt an episode( panic attack ) coming along earlier so I took one and it’s calmed me down for only about ten minutes. My thoughts and my anxiety are still racing and are still there. Would it be safe to take at least one more ? Making the dose I took tonight only 0.50mg . Not even a full miligram, however i took the other one like 2+ hours ago so I don’t know if they will even work together like I need them too

Hi ! Welcome
I am not sure what medication you are taking but your doctor would be the best person to give you advice .
I am sure the medication bottle says how many times per day and how many mgs you can take .
Most health insurances , if you are in the USA, have a nurse on call . I have used the service before in regards to medication dosages and interactions .
Hope you feel better soon ❤️
Thank you so much for you reply, I didn’t think anyone would respond to me honestly. It means a lot.
Hi there
You could try booking a telephone appointment with your Dr ask the question.
Take medication only as prescribed.
It really is not a good idea to self medicate with anything.
Have you tried breathing exercises, meditation or laughter yoga. There are many things to try along with medication. They all need a little perseverance....but start working immediately.
Agree with the others. Take only as prescribed. Call md with questions
Can I ask what is the medication called ?
