Chest pain

I have had an uncomfortable feeling in my chest for about 5 hours now and it makes me anxious because it's on the left hand side. I'm not sorry re if it's muscular or what as I have no other symptoms. How do you know if it's serious as I do suffer from tension in my back.

Usually a pain in the left hand side is caused by anxiety and the tightening of the muscles around the heart. And getting more worried about it certainly isnt helping you. I am no doctor at all and i cannot tell you if thats related to your back, but where in your back do you suffer tension? and have you ever felt this pain in your chest before?

do you often suffer panic attacks?

It's been awhile since I have had this pain it's like s shooting pain then stops. I also tend to suffer from reflux and the pain is in my upper back between my shoulder blades. The feeling came on randomly I was fine

Have you seen a doctor about your back? I am afraid i cant shed any light on what is happening to you, but i can suggest some things.

You could try stretches for your back, search up stretches for between the shoulder blades.

Would there be any particular fatty foods, smoking or alcohol that could have brought on the pain in the heart, along with the anxiety?

Try and relax and not worry too much about your chest, the more you get riled up and worried, the worse it will probably get.

If it worsens please see a doctor!!!

Thank you for the response I really appreciate it. I have been going to physio in the past but things seemed better anyway tnx again

Hello chanz5 I keep on having Tightness in my chest as well x in fact I've had it all day today x it seems to right through to my back x I just always put it down to my anxiety x it us sometime hardcore relax but if you can it does seem to help or try taking your mind off it sone hiw x not easy though x or do some deep breathing x good luck x
