Has anyone tried Remeron ( mirtazipine) or Zoloft ( sertraline) to treat anxiety or depression? If so, what sort of side effects did you experience due to the medication? Has it been effective? I am thinking of starting a medication because I am sick of anxiety taking over my life.

I've been on citalapram and Prozac in the past. I have friends that have taken setraline and it was quite effective for them, most side effects settle down so they're hardly noticeable.

I would definetely try something, don't suffer with anxiety and depression, meds can be very helpful.

All the best.

I have been on both at the same time. It's a very effective at treating anxiety and depression. I didnt have any side effects from Sertraline but I did with Mirtzapine. The latter can cause weight gain and also acts as an aid to sleep.
