I want to believe its anxiety. I feel so alone. But I'm not! I get chest pains on the left side, stomach gets really tight, my burps build up and then stop at my throat and then I can't help but force them out (super painful) I can't even sit in a quite room and feel the need to hide myself because I know I'm going to burp. I breathe in and I get the urge and it's like I can't breathe and I force our gnarly sounding burps that sound like I'm dying. Right now I'm feeling a pain on the left side of my chest, stomach is all bloated and crampy... I can't do this anymore I know I caused harm to my body last year by throwing up. I know that's the root of it getting so bad.. I just want to know what I can do to feel a little normal again. I want to control it.. I love my body and want better for myself. Never will I ever do harm to myself. I meditate and do yoga and also cycle. They all help but it never leaves. I wake up and burp before bed burp.. every second theres just air trying to come out. Please, someone help me. I don't want to live in fear anymore..
I am recovering from bulimia and I just know it helped make it even worse. Reason why I say I feel it's anxiety.. ive been to so many doctors and hospitals and no one will help me. I don't have insurance so I feel they just shove me to the side. I should have added this in there better but you guys will get it. Help

No medical training here. Vomiting is a great way to develop acid reflux/GERD. Usually perfectly benign condition but very unpleasant. It can make you feel like something is stuck in your throat. Of course the bulimia needs to stop (easier said than done I'm sure). When I have pains on my side I always feel comforted when I burp because that lets me know it's only gas/reflux and I'm okay. Your esophagus may be super inflamed from vomiting. Not going to end you but it is an issue. In the meantime I would try lots of tums (antacids) and cough syrups to try to ease the inflammation. I don't know that you are coughing but that is usually a side result when it gets bad . I wish you could see a doctor but I get it. Over the counter Prilosec is a bit expensive but it really helps with the reflux (gas, choking feeling in throat) that you are describing. Take care.
