Night time waking

Has anyone ever woken up gasping for a breath and feeling as if you were going to die because it felt like ypu hadn't taken a breath for a while and your heart must have nearly stopped? As well as fearful that you may have almost died, you feel disoriented? Is this really anxiety or could it have been a real possibility?

Not sure if I want to Google it or not. Sounds like something else to worry about but I know my throat and mouth were really dry. I usually don't mouth breathe but perhaps I was and it may have triggered it?

Maybe if you look it up you will learn what is causing it and how to fix it. You are not the only one eith these systoms, trust me. I hope you look it up. Best wishes Lbk64

Hi, yes, I looked it up. I'm not sure if it's the problem or not. A diagnosis would have to come from a gp I think. If it happens again, I'll ask for a sleep study.

Yes you certainly would have to get a diagnosis. Again, I wish you the best.
