I was at orientation today and felt fine until an hour before it would end. When we were standing in one room I noticed myself focusing on my breathing and I felt like I was "going out" of it. I felt my hands get sweaty then clammy. Then my heart was racing and I was so focused on my breathing.. Would this be an adrenaline rush?

Your first mistake was focusing on your breathing. Don't focus on anything your body is doing, if you do that and something goes out of whack then you're in anxiety will kick in, remember the human body is not perfect, your heart will never perfectly be in sync nobodies does your breathing will always be a different, that's just the way the human body is, just go about your day and don't worry about what your body is doing. Obviously if you have a medical condition then that's a different story and you have to obviously keep an eye on it.
i think this is just nerves honey. as i focus on my breathing a lot when im meditating. i wasnt always able to do this though as anything i focused on i began to sense there was something wrong with it. like my breath or my heartbeat. but i told myself years ago how many times have you thought there was something wrong with your breathing or your heart.? and i kept telling myself that until i believed it and got over it. its all part and parcel of anxiety. i hope your feeling much better now. love grace xoxoxo
