Hi guys-I am new here and wanted to see if anyone has experienced what's been going on with me. I woke up one morning feeling startled and then had a rush of coolness over my body then with elevated blood pressure and nausea. The cold rush feelings lasted about 6 seconds and came and went all day long. I felt VERY anxious afterwards and had a hard time calming down. Since this has started, it has never gone away. I have a day or two where I feel fine, but most days I feel a fhump in my heart, then the cold rush and then MAJOR anxiety. This happens about 10 times a day. Can anyone PLEASE offer any advise as to what this is? I am a very anxious person by nature, but his completely came out of the blue. Help please......................

Adrenaline rush and anxiety
I get a similar feeling as what you described. Only mine is more of like I get this weird feeling like something bad is about to happen, then I feel like my heart does a hard beat or thump and that is followed by like a head rush feeling. After that I feel wound up. Anxiety can be sneaky. It always feels like it comes out of nowhere. When in fact our subconscious mind is always running, so it isn’t really out of nowhere. The best thing I have found is to stop fearing it. I know that sounds impossible, but it is totally possible. I let the feelings and sensations wash over me all the while telling myself that it is going to pass and that I don’t need to know where it came from. As unsettling as it feels it can’t really hurt you. You are ok. As always, if it is something you feel just isn’t right, or you’re spending too much time worrying about it, go talk to your doctor.
thank you for your reply. I am trying desperately to do the things you suggested. do you have trouble falling asleep due to these weird adrenaline rushes ( guess that's what it is) too? its miserable.
I have these adrenaline rushes and surges all day every day at the moment.teamed with butterflies in my tummy, constant wooziness/lightheaded and weird heartbeats.
Its horrible and wouldnt wish it on anyone.
The best advice i have recieved to cope with it is meditation and deep breathing.and trying to to pay it any attention at all.easier said than done but worth a try.

Thanks, Minnie- any advice for sleeping? With this constantly going on, how am I supposed to sleep? It startled me awake when I have one (which is every 5 min).😔
Bless you.its so tough it really is.
unbelievably i dont get it in bed or when im sleeping.its the only un anxious time i get.
Have you tried listening to some quiet calm music or radio in bed?just a little background noise?
Hopefully others will have some advice for sleeping for you.
Yes, it does make it hard for me to sleep if I experience one while in bed. The best investment I’ve made is my weighted blanket. I am less heart aware with it and have actually been able to sleep.
Hi Krn210, Thank you for sharing your experience with the weighted blanket. I knew of others who were offered the comfort and security of that blanket including children. Now they have the weighted dog vest on the market. I wish there was something we could wrap around us in the day when anxiety gets to the extreme. Let me know if you hear anything about that. xx
It’s funny you say that Agora! I’ve thought about carrying my blanket with me on occasion! Lol! I will definitely let you know if I hear of any weighted wearables for us humans. 😁
