Hi I'm new on here and wanted to introduce myself... Suffering from anxiety/ depression and hoping that I can get help from you all to get through this. On day 3 of Prozac and now feel more anxious than ever. Any support would be welcome.

Day 3 on meds is not very long and I know sometimes you can feel worse before you feel better and they can take up to 3 months to work but keep going because if they suite you eventually it could be a positive
Meanwhile you keep coming on here and talking and hopefully we can support you

Thank you I really appreciate your support.... I'm trying to take 1 day at a time.... Going to get medication and spelling it all out to my GP was really hard but I guess that was my first step.... I know it's early days and I'm trying to fight through loss of appetite... Poor sleep... Increased anxiety but I guess it gets worse before it gets better.

You should feel proud it was a massive step going to see and explain everything to the Doctor and now you have joined and posted on here so you are doing all that you can for now , but with anxiety there is no quick fix but we do get better
You are right one day at a time , maybe start keeping a little diary because even though you may not see it there could be a slight improvement everyday but so small you may not notice but with a dairy you can keep looking and maybe pick up on it more
Give the meds a few weeks and if nothing has improved at all or if you feel any worse you could always talk with the Doctor again because not always but sometimes we may have to try a few meds before we find one that suites but hopefully once you adjust to these you are on you will feel the benefits x
Hi I'm hoping I will see small improvements.... I'm also waiting for counselling... I thought about keeping a diary... At the minute all I worry about is being off work.... Have started daily breathing space meditation also which Is helping. I don't have any close family where I am and my partner is trying to get his head round it all n his mum is being amazing.. My friends too are proud of me for taking first small steps to get better... It's so unlike me I'm normally so strong n keep going but lately my smile and confidence has gone And all I want is to work hard to get that back... I'm so glad to have your support on here.
