Well its funny how anxiety works there are so many different signs and yes numbness in arm's legs, hands, feet, along with tingling so don't get scared you know what I've been doing for the past 4 day's because ive been feeling the same thing i put 2 pillows under my legs while im laying on my back, pillows behind my back and head and i made sure my arm's were down below my heart so i can have good blood flow to my arms in a up right position and put on music with ear phones
Your just fine my dude tell me that its just a new sensation and im not use to it so thats why im panic he tells me the feelings i have is not going away its not going any where, its not going to kill me i just have to get useto it so i am and im telling you the same.. by hearing that by my boyfriend it really helped me because im not going to let anxiety control my life
Okay ,I figured it was anxiety . I think I might try the pillow thing thanks a lot!
it could be the position of your wrists whilst you are sleeping. The nerve that goes to your fingers runs through a small tunnel of cartilege and bone in your wrist and if the wrist is slightly bent then this can get constricted leading to the pins and needles- sleeping with a straight wrist can help - you can get wrist braces to help - but you should only use them at night as using them for too long can lead to other problems.

There are tests but they can't be interpreted just on the basis of test scores. If you think that it is likely then I suggest you join the PAS forum on health unlocked.
I have been living with numbness, tingling sensations, pains in fingers for ages now. The Neurologist says it wont kill me & its a nuisance I have to live with unfortunately. The Clinical Psychologist says something about my mind (or is it head) converting fears to numbness & to ignore it & it will go. My Psychiatrist laughs over it & prescribes anti anxiety medicine. It's never there forever so i just ignore it & not let it bother me anymore. Pls ignore it & dont bother. May God help.
Hi Bdan, yes I do wake up with numbness in my hands but I'm not concerned. The cause is two fold. One being that I have carpal tunnel syndrome and the other is anxiety. Throughout the years, I would catch myself going to sleep in a fetal position and turning my hands in towards my body. My body language said it all. Jax's advice is the ritual I go through every night and find that it helps protect my wrists. When we are extremely anxious it is an automatic reaction to our stress to close our hands into a fist and in effect putting undue constriction on our muscles and nerves. After moving around, the circulation helps restore the feeling back to our hands. Not to worry. x
