got put on azithromyacin yesterday for a double ear infection

Oh teemarie, I'm so sorry. That must be so painful but I'm glad you were but on an antibiotic which will help with the ear infection. As for the anxiety, unfortunately that's almost a given whenever we have something physical going on. We're here if you need support dealing with the anxiety issues. Wishing you well soon. x

When I get a cold or infection my Anxiety gets worse. Seems like the cold knocks out my defense.

Be sure not to take any fluoroquinolone antibiotics no matter what, should that not clear it up. But be aware that most antibiotics actually cause anxiety and/or depression. It's a very common side effect not listed in the short list of things (such as tummy upset, etc) so it's likely that your angst spike is caused by the antibiotic itself.
