Anxiety Depression overwhelmed
Hi Restokley, you are not alone with the morning anxiety. I've come a long way in dealing, controlling and alleviating my anxiety. Except...for the morning fear that greets me everyday upon awakening. I will say it has gone down some but not where I want it to be and that's GONE. I hear you that everything is overwhelming. Things that others may take in stride are there in our minds playing the what ifs over and over. No amount of drugs can erase these feelings. The answers must come from within ourselves. Therapy, meditation, deep breathing etc. whatever it takes to calm our mind so that we can deal with what's been given to us. I welcome you to this community, I'm sure you will get a lot of feedback and support. Most of all, we all understand what you are feeling. Take care.
thanks for reply.......right now its evening and Im feeling pretty bad...feel all alone with this illness. tomorrow I have a appointment with a neurologist and I don't know why? but it came in mail from doctor and says memory loss.
Hi Restokley, anxiety is a lonely disorder because no one can possibly understand what we go through unless they had it as well. Even if your anxiety is worse in the morning, it still continues and waxes and wanes throughout the day and evening. That's what makes it so wearing and so frightening because you never know when it make appear again especially under stress. Interesting that your doctor wants you to see a neurologist, I had too at the beginning stages. You say you are lonely at night and needed your son to stay with you. Is it lonely or fear of something? Your feeling down right now has a lot to do with you not knowing what's going on with these feelings. After you see the neurologist, maybe they will be able to give you a definite diagnosis of anxiety. From there, there are different paths you can follow in order to get a grip back on your life. Keep us updated. Wishing you well. Agora1
Hello
I think a lot of people that suffer with anxiety /depression either find the Mornings worse or Evenings but this will get better as time goes on , be patient with yourself
You say you have run out of money , are you in the UK ?
Just thinking if you are on benefits ?
I know job searching can put pressure on you again if you are in the UK would your Doctor give you a sick note while you get back on your feet a little more and feel able to cope because if you are in the UK this will excuse you searching while your sick note covers you
Try and not pile all your problems on top of each other , I know that is never easy sometimes but they never get solved if we do and just result in us feeling unwell , whatever is the most important deal with that first and then take each one in order of importance till you have managed to sort them all out & you will
Take Care x
Im In US....applied for disability but take months 6 to 9. trying to do odd jobs, cause can't hold down full-time job in this condition....odd jobs are very little
Mornings are my worst too, i wake up thinking "oh crap i am still here". I tell myself i will fell better later in the day and that they are just symptoms that cant hurt me but its still tough changing thought processes
High anxiety in mornings could also mean high cortisol levels that your adrenals are pumping out.
Hi Jefner, you are correct. The cortisol levels start rising around 4am. There's really nothing we can do about that except change our thinking when we wake up in fear. There's no pill that will reverse that feeling.x
