I have dizziness that comes and goes (more dizzy then not) I'm off balance, clumsy, my limbs feel week, my body hurts, my ears hurt, difficulty swallowing and I'm hoarse! - no fever...
I keep thinking the worst... MS, Cancer, Lupus... You know something deadly! But I'm trying to remain calm and tell myself it's anxiety...

I get all these symptoms all the time! The off balance and dizziness is my worst! And most long lasting!!! Since starting medication and therapy it hasn't been as strong, still there but more good days than bad. You need to not let it be the main focus of your thoughts! Easier said than done I know! I still struggle but look at the facts of anxiety! Not other illnesses. You don't have those. You have anxiety x
I am a mouth breather... I will be off for summer. I am having a really hard time believing my mouth and throat are from anxiety. My throat and mouth have been like this for 8 days! My tongue burns, lips burn... My whole mouth is sore!
Hi Beth.... I have great empathy with you and your symptoms. Bottom line your body gives you messages... it tells you when you should change what you are doing be it your life-style, your diet, exercise, attitude. Every symptom you mention I have had (or thought I have had) and become anxious and depressed thinking these are the first symptoms of a fatal illness. I have now come to terms that I do not have MS, MND, Parkinsons, tumours in my throat, on my tongue, in my stomach, in my pancreas, large intestine or in my brain. And guess what since not looking up every symptom on Dr Google and coming to terms to listen to my body my life has completely changed. I still get the tremors, headaches, feelings of a lump in my throat, muscle stiffness, shoulder ache, chest pains, mouth ulcers but these are so much less since I listen to my body and do things it wants me to do. Think... if your symptoms persist change something in your life... try yoga, go for a 3 mile power walk every day, only have a glass of wine on the week-ends, eat more vegetables, don't dose up on Vitamin B12, folic acid and iron tablets, get some sunshine to build up your Vitamin D... whatever it takes... but listen to your body. Hope this helps it has certainly helped me to get to that light at the end of the tunnel.
Hi Beth... forgot to mention getting Vitamin B12 (that is active B12) into you body is good... I came across as not to take it... I didn't mean that. Take it and give it time to see if your symptoms improve. I take a B12 as a spray in my mouth every morning... goes straight to the bloodstream. I'm not sure if it's that which is making a difference but as I said listen to your body it knows what it wants. Best of luck.
getting a B12 diagnosis and the right treatment out of a GP can be extremely difficult as they have a tendency to go by numbers although all the guidance tries to make it quite clear that clinical presentation is important. Hope your GP is one of the more enlightened ones but if not you will get plenty of support on the PAS forum
I went to the doctor today... They ordered a ton of labs including B12... I also have fluid on both ears and one is infected... I'm starting antibiotics and an allergy pill today...
Yes! I had to literally cry and beg my GP to check my vitamins! It came back as the low low side of "normal" but she said that I should take B12 injections. I cant do that but I can take the vitamins. Hopefully I feel some kind of improvement. I hope you feel better and have a great weekend
