Hey Colby,
I'm suffering with the same thing, and it seems to be slowly getting worse. The hardest thing for me at the moment is going to a busy shop, or even out for a quick bite to eat somewhere. I am reading on agoraphobia and really trying exposure therapy, ie forcing myself to get out at least once a day and do something as simple as buying one item from the supermarket. The build up of anxiety is still absolutely devastating. I'm lucky with my job, I can just do a couple of shifts a week, but even that can be crippling too. I recently found that when I feel all the tension building up, if I drop my shoulders and let my neck and shoulder muscles relax, it becomes a little easier. It's helping with the head rushes/faint feeling I get when simply talking to someone too. Hope this little tip can help you a bit. All the best.
We all have our comfort zones, once you link comfort to a place it's hard to stretch away from it. Mine are my house and my car, I feel very anxious sometimes when I have to leave my vehicle or leave town for a few days.
