Bad headaches

I keep getting really bad headaches and they won't go away I'm taking painkillers and it's still not moving! I'm so scared it's making me feel so weird. Could this be a bleed to the brain? Or a Tumor? I'm 21. Someone please help me

Kaaayla, I'm so sorry about the headaches you keep getting. Anxiety can give you muscle contraction headaches that seem to go on and on. They are just as painful as migraines but instead of the blood vessels being involved, it's the muscles in the head, neck and face. Painkillers and okay once in a while. When you start taking anything frequently whether prescription or over the counter, they no longer will work and you will get "rebound" headaches. It certainly doesn't sound like the signs of a bleed or tumor. You may need to try different techniques to eliminate the pain. Meditation, deep breathing, muscle relaxation etc. This would work for either migraine or tension headaches. If a migraine then the doctor would be able to give you something other than painkillers to prevent the headache. Hope you get some relief soon. xx

Hi, before you let your fear and anxiety make things worse because your are really worried about this as I would be as well. Make an appointment with your Dr. and tell him what's going on get tests done the sooner you find out the better especially for your mental health because having anxiety and worry all the time will only intensify the pain. Once you've had tests and find out everything is okay your mind will finally rest. We are here for you brake care and let us know how you are doing.
