I was thinking about calling off my wedding, I love my fiancé very much but I don't want him to be stuck with me, I don't want him to have to deal with my disorders for the rest of his life. I just feel like maybe he deserves better.....

LeX_Bri, oh I would think twice about that. Love is unconditional and after all he knows that you have these disorders and still wants to marry you. How lucky you are to have found a man like that. If you called it off, you would ruin 2 lives. Be thankful, you were given a gift of love. xx

But what if he gets tired of the way I am.? I'm so afraid that he's going to start getting annoyed by me because of the way I am. :( and I don't want to throw away almost three years of a relationship and also 6 years of a friendship. My anxiety is holding me back. 😔

That's very selfless of you and I admire that but don't call of your wedding, he loves you and will endure everything with you (:

As a person with GAD that's gone through a broken engagement, I wouldn't call it off unless there is something about your fiancé that's making YOU unhappy. If you are purely worried about annoying him but his never given you any reason to think that way then he's in it for the long haul. In my case, I was with a person for 5 years who belittled me and made me feel like I was a burden. He was verbally abusive and manipulative too and I was convinced I was so lucky to have found someone who would even put up with me. I wanted to call it off almost daily at the end but was feeing guilty about it... thank God that he did instead. It was awful in the moment but so much better several months after. My husband now is almost supportive to a fault. When you have someone who accepts you and supports you (even if they don't always understand how our brains work) it's absolutely irreplaceable. Good luck to you :)
