I just got this weird pressure in my chest. Also, I'm constantly feeling dizzy or light headed. It makes my vision feel distorted sometimes. My head feels heavy and I feel.. Broken. When I'm not feeling anxiety or depression, I feel nothing. Nothing at all. Like I'm empty. What's wrong with me?

Constantly anxious.
Ive been feeling exactly like you for 10 months. Did you have problems with you ears. They may cause dizziness/light headedness
I'm constantly dizzy too. Its ruined my life
I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. It's like I can't do anything without feeling like I'll pass out or just fall over. I'm sorry you have to suffer through dizziness too.
It all sounds like depression to me even the empty feeling sounds like depression are you on any meds., I was suffering with terrible anxiety/depression , they changed my meds from venalfaxine to sertraline & now I feel so much better., read the book 'at last a life' by Paul david ., I watched my best friend pass away last September at 44yrs old of cancer, it has Made me realise life is so dam short! Depression/anxiety are awful but you can get out of it ., I realised alcohol caused a lot of mine as well, even just a couple of drinks made me feel down , so no alcohol now, take lots of vits b complex /vit d especially , magnesium citrate also calms me., worth trying ., talk to as many people as you can about how you feel that helps., I wish you well X
I've been writing down all my symptoms lately and based on what the Internet tells me about them.. I'm pretty sure it's depression. I'm not on any medication, but I'm going to start counseling again soon. So I'll see. I'm so sorry about your friend. That had to be so awful. I will try to find that book. Thank you for your help.
Hi Annielane, It certainly sounds like you have anxiety as well as depression. I'm glad you will be starting counseling soon. That is an excellent start in order to find out where you are coming from. Medication can be used at times but it is not the answer to your symptoms. Therapy is the best approach. I wish you well. x
Thank you for your support. I have been trying to just figure it out on my own but you learn fast that it doesn't really work that way. So hopefully soon I'll be happy.
Annielane, I forgot to ask you if you have been to your doctor recently to discuss how you are feeling? You need to exclude any medical issues that may be going on. You are right in that we cannot just figure that out on our own unless we know what we are dealing with. Once you get a diagnosis with anxiety or depression you will be able to approach it in the right way. We are all here to support and share not only our feelings and symptoms but also success stories and how that came about. Good Luck and glad you came to the anxiety forum.
Your welcome I know how awful it is ! No one can see it so hard for other people to understand you feel on your own with it, but do look at vitimins, I found magnesium helped me with the anxiety side., you never think what you eat matters, Google good mood food & get in the sun for your vit D ! Take care good luck with the counselling ! Wendy X
I feel the same way the chest feels tight constant pressure, I've also been experiencing shortness of breath out of nowhere. I can be totally calm & this starts out of nowhere. I feel very dizzy at times to where I honestly feel like I'm gonna pass out & very surprised I haven't the times that feeling came on. I feel ill like I can't put my finger on it but it's horrible I get dull pains in my right arm. I get heart palpitations sometimes headache to. Always feel fatigue my eyes get blurry. I'm at my wits end this all started back in December & hasn't really left me since.
I totally know how you feel. It's like my world is caving in on itself. I'm so sorry you're experiencing all that.. Have you talking to a doctor or a therapist? That might help. The people that have been commenting on this post have been really helpful and it might help you too to read through them! I wish you the best of luck in getting this figured out. Know you're not alone in all that.
Yes I've been to the doctors a few times. It's very frustrating because you are looking for answers but you don't feel like you get what you are looking for. I've had an EKG a few times blood work done chest x-ray like three times. My doctor gave me celexa but I've yet to take it. I really didn't want to have to depend on medicine, but if it keeps up like this I will have no other choice. It's like I've accepted it's anxiety but something in the back of my mind won't shut off like I have cancer or some kind of scary illness. The way I feel is just off & it's awful. I'm glad I found this site it's very helpful I hate that everyone has to suffer this way day in & day out. I feel anxiety needs more research because it's very difficult for people & shouldn't be taken lightly. I hope you feel better 😊
