Does anyone experience busy racing thoughts or intrusive & unwanted scary thoughts? If so, how do u handle that? My anxiety starts with that first then the physical symptoms follow

How do you deal with that?

Lately, I'm not doing good with it at all. They are controlling me more than I'm controlling them.  I agreed to start some medicine. (First time ever) I have scheduled an appt for counseling but as of right now I'm just trying to make it hour to hour.

Have they diagnosed u with anything?

What is your diagnosis? Are you still able to do day to day things? Like work?

Panic/anxiety/pure ocd (thoughts). I am able to but only when integrating coping skills throughout the day. Affirmations, prayer, breathing & my xanax if needed & my celexa.

How long have you been dealing with this? I feel like my quality of life has declined over the past two weeks. I have Ativan on standby and have had to use it the last few days.

For about a month 1/12. It literally kicked my ass out of nowhere. Ive always handled stress i thought like a pro. I was wrong

Me too! There's been days of anxiety but this time it is kicking my ass too! I hate it! It make me angry! I've been dealing with the severe form for about two weeks.  Tomorrow will make one week I've been on Lexapro.

Good at least ur taking something. Sometimes meds are the only option till u balance out. Tge severe part is the worst cause it feels like ur going crazy especially if u experience depersonalization like i did (feeling like ur not you, like in a dream) but it does get better. Your mind will fight to get better

This is so good to hear because my biggest fear is I will never be me again. I'll never have a good day or be a good mom again. I'm terrified.

Dont be. It takes time i think our minds do what they do to protect us and warn us that we've overdone it. I began feeling more like me again a month after my breakdown & im still working on it day by day hoping to get back to the best version of me again. But this means i have to take a good look at myself & my life at what got me to that point to begin with

Praying/Angel Therapy and the free meditations on youtube worked a treat for me!

Helzbellz123 in reply toGodiswithme02

Yes, last Summer. the images and thoughts made me very anxious. I got over it via angel therapy (Doreen Virtue)/praying and meditation.  Hope you are feeling better godiswithme02 :)

Through my experience, I came to realise that we have all got protector angels - you just have to call them in and literally say aloud what you need healing.  Sounds airy fairy but it worked for me, let me know how you get on!

Intrusive Thoughts ?* EVERYBODY Has Had Them At Some Time Or Another Even If They Don't Have An Anxiety Disorder. If They Say They Haven't They Lie. Everybody Gets Attacks Of "Intrusive Thoughts". Those Thoughts YOU Can't Believe Crossed Your Mind. The Ones You Would Never Tell Anyone You Had. EVERYTHING You Have Ever Experienced, Heard, & Seen Is "RECORDED" From The Very Day You Are Born. Your Mind Will "Recall". But YOUR Mind Will Put YOU In A Situational Thought. Why ? It's YOUR Mind. We Live In A World That's Good. But There Is The Flip Side Of That Coin Which Is Evil. Heck, You Watch Your Local News & You Are Filled With Horrific News Reports Of Murders, Abuses, Acts Of Insanity, & Much More. [ not counting scary movies, & stories that require your imagination to decipher situational conditions whether they be good or bad. ] Let's Say You're Out In A Public Place. You Didn't Sleep Well or/ You Are Having Some Anxiety Or Something Physical That Doesn't Feel Right. You Feel Kinda "Out Of Control" Because You Can't Just Make It Go Away. Then ? Here Comes An "Intrusive Thought". Fear Sets In Immediately. You're Like, "Where Did That Come From" ?* "How Could I Think Such A Thing" ?* Well ? "ALL THE ABOVE". If You Were Born In A Bubble World & Nobody Ever Told You, You Can Choke To Death On A Apple Seed ? It Would Never Cross Your Mind At All. The Fact That It Bothers You Is A Good Thing ! You Have A Conscious . I Hope This Helps In Some Way My Friend. Prayers For Ya~*
