Not always but on occasions when I have an anxiety fuelled day I find it hard to focus. I also do remember that when I first had anxiety 2 strange things happened it felt like a. I could hear my eyes moving!! and secondly I always felt that I was seeing things move in the corner of my vision.

Hi Lisasums. Eye issues are up there on the top of my list of anxiety symptoms.

Blurred vision, burning, dry, heavy lids. Upon awakening in the morning, I may see

red or black spider type images on the ceiling, I blink and they are gone. My eye exam checked out okay. This has been going on for years. Puffiness and dark circles

under the eyes from long ongoing stress. Supposedly I don't need glasses except for reading. When in a grocery store, the vision gets even more blurry. Like I'm in a daze, a fog. I'm always afraid I may miss something because of my focus being off.

Hi Agora!

Thanks for responding. I have been seeing lights and colours and other things. I have had my eyes checked by my opthamologist numerous times and have also had other tests done and also an MRI. Found nothing. So I really do not know what is going on with me. ☹

Yes i do! Its a new symptom to me. Ive been waking up with heavy eyelids and burning dry eyes. Its anxiety related but its very scary :(

Yeah, its really weird, I've had dry eyes/eye strain for years now and its pretty bad. I've had a ton of medical tests for it but they've all come back negative, I've never thought to link it to my anxiety though

The last few weeks I've been having problems with my eyes, I've noticed my floaters a lot more... So I went to the optitions, who checked out my eyes and ran some tests and took some pictures she said everything looked fine, but if anything chances to go too the eye doctor; which has made me panic more! I feel like they are really achy today! I'm terrified I'm going to tear something in my eye and become blind

Oh sweetheart! Trust me I know exactly how you are feeling! I have a lot of eye floaters and are harmless. The only things to look out for is a big bright flash like lightning, it could mean a retina tear. It's very unlikely it will happen but if it does it is a very easy procedure the eye doctor can do in their office. I see stuff all the time which alarms me a lot but I have had so many tests and they cannot find anything so I try to ignore which I am getting better with. If you had your eyes tested recently and found nothing your eyes are perfectly fine otherwise they would of said. Just get your eyes checked yearly and you will be fine. Let me just say you're not alone in feeling like the way you do.
