Hi Katherine, I am so sorry you are going through this fright... Chances are it IS anxiety (which can do just about ANY symptom!) ... but for YOUR own sake, please visit with a dr and tell him what you have told us... he will be the only one who can really reassure you... Maybe there are others who have gone through this, too, however, just please be on the safe side... this is NOT a 'sign of a brain tumor'...ok? ok!
Hi Katherine,
I find that I nod off for a moment sometimes 3-4-5 times in a few hours or so. It's like a black out except I wake with my head lower down than usual. That's my only clue it's me falling unconscious from tiredness. I don't know if this is the same for you. It's quite a surprise for me to suddenly find myself waking when I thought I was awake already.
Katherine,
I checked this problem I described with my neurologist and he saw no problem except tiredness and would have prescribed a medicine to help with wakefulness if I had wanted it. That's just me...one person's experience with this problem...but it may be useful for you to know this. I hope you find the answers you are looking for.
