I was fast asleep and got woken up by my heart racing. It felt like it was going to pop out my m chest. I have had an episode like this in a good few weeks, and I don't feel anxious or anything? I can't calm down though... It's been about 45mins and it's still just as fast as it was, I don't know if it's travelling down my arms or if that's just me scaring myself. How could I be fine all day and then have such a bad turn over nothing please help?

Can't calm down...
I'm sorry 😥 This happens to me too just out of the blue. Been happening on an off for years! I hope you find a way to calm down. It's hard I know all to well
How are you now? I've had this too and it was anxiety even tho I wasn't in a panic at the time it also happened when I woke up
If its constant like an everyday thing then Yes it may be a cardiac problem but if it happens like anxiety symptoms are with it then yes its anxiety unfortunately. But i get like that it wakes me up once i go to sleep it sucks. Make sure your not anxious or thinking crazy once your heading to bed
Hi everyone,
It's not something I have 24/7 it comes in phases... sometimes I'm fine other days I can have a tight chest all day and I worry when I go to bed thinking its going to get really bad before it even has.
I've had 3 ECGS of my heart, 2 chest xrays, and nearly 5 sets of blood tests. My doctor has listended to my heart, and checked my blood pressure. All seems to be fine? If there was something wrong with my heart, would any of these tests show this?
