Anxiety & wanting to relax

Hi

I am trying to quit being anxious & relax. As I was doing so , it's like both of my shoulders twitched or something & woke me up . I'm like panicky now , I want to get some sleep though . Has anyone else dealt with this or something similar ? Does anxiety cause this or poor eating habits &/or dehydration ?

Yes, yes and yes. Anxiety can cause all kinds of weird sensations physical and emotional. First of all, you really can't try to quit being anxious and relax. It needs to come naturally after much practice before hand. As you learn to stop the panic ASAP

you will be able to roll over and go back to sleep. Doing deep breathing while in bed will switch the adrenaline button to "hold" or "stop". It's not easy, takes practice but it can be done where the minute your mind says danger, you will automatically reset

and stop the panic. As for poor eating habits, my feel good food is a chocolate bar.

And as for dehydration, oh yes, between taking medications as well as mouth breathing because of anxiousness, my mouth is always dry.

Hope that helps some. You have the classic symptoms of anxiety. Good Luck
