I had a head trauma 4 months ago and that's when my health anxiety kicked off.

It's just that usually there's a trigger!! Or you've seen someone close to you suffer and you think that might happen to you!!

Sorry to interfere but you are so right! I lost my dad to cancer last year and I pretty much lost a hero. Since then my health anxiety is crazy! The fear of cancer or other illnesses have been haunting me.

Hi Masyanya, I'm really sorry about your dad. It's so painful losing a parent who you love so much.all I can say is what your experiencing. Is normal. It's not good!! But it's normal. I felt the same when my sister died of cancer. I convinced myself I had it every time I felt unwell. I turned it around by kind of having a mid life crisis!! I realised life was for living and I had to grab it with both hands and live it!! Don't get me wrong I was grieving for my sister who I loved so much and have since lost my mum.we have to grieve , but we also have to live!! We can't bring them back but we can carry them with us always.i know my mum and sis would say live your life!! Don't waste it worrying about what might never happen. It took me a while to realise that. I don't doubt your lovely dad would want you to do the same.

The best thing you can do saz is talk to your doctor.if you haven't already you will probably benefit from talking to a councilor. Perhaps they can get to the bottom of why you feel like this.

I also have health anxiety, every time i feel something I'm always on google or looking for reassurance. I have a huge fear of death though thinking about it makes me feel anxious, is that also why you're scared?

Resist the temptation to search for answers regarding symptoms on google, big big mistake, it will only fuel your anxiety and fear, its so easy to convince ourselves that we have some kind of serious illness by googling, you cannot get any proper diagnosis this way, if your concerned about health then see your doctor, DON'T GOOGLE xx
