My name is mary l have had depression 1999 went doctors he give me Zoleft medication they did not help , and l didnt go back , so since 2002 till now it's been getting worst leading into Aniexty, and knots in my stomach, I go to work with no interest, feeling sleepy, moody, I feel comfortable laying down nothing please help me

Hi Mary. Sorry you are having a difficult time. I would say this Mary - if you had a broken leg you would not just leave it to get better on its own, because it wont get better on its own. It is no different for your condition. You have an illness which requires treatment to help you recover from it. What that treatment will consist of will be decided by you and the doctors. It might be that you need some appropriate medication combined with therapy. I know you had medication before and it did not seem to help. Maybe it was not the right medication for you or the dosage was wrong. But you say you did not go back to doctor to ask about it. Maybe you should go back now and try again to get the help you obviously need.

Your anxiety will not be going away by itself, and as you have noticed, it may very well cause physical problems for you. Talk with your doctor Mary - that s where you will get help. I hope you feel better soon.
