So after everytime i drink soda/fizzy juice, I would hiccup, and they say if this happens then it can cause your air way flap go close?!!

And they say people have died from hiccups? Feeling real worries..

Hi. I think you might be over-focusing. I am not sure if anyone ever died from hiccups or not - but if they did I am very sure that there must be more to it than that and that it would be an extremely rare outcome. Health anxiety almost always leads to an ocd type of reaction relating to specific body functions like swallowing or breathing - or hiccups. It would help if you occupy your mind with something - does not matter what it is so long as it distracts you from the thoughts about hiccups. Otherwise you get into a learned behaviour type of reaction which becomes increasingly difficult to reverse. I would just say that I have never heard of anyone dying from just hiccups, not without there being some underlying serious illness going on.

I would always feel chokey when I breath, I feel most of the time a lump in my throat💔I hate all this, feel like I'm gonna die😭like I'm only 17 why am I thinking this was really bothering me😔thanks for the reply
