Anxiety causing chest pains, weakness, breathlessness, headaches and other symptoms?

Hi,

I'm 19 years old and I've always been an overlay anxious person, but for the past 4 months it's gotten out of control. I feel so weak and not myself it's horrible :( I also get chest pains that send me into panic mode and convince myself I'm going to have a heart attack any second. Does anyone else experience this or have any advice to this living hell?

Thank you

Firstly, you will not have a heart attack. Not gonna happen.

Secondly you need to look at your life events and see if there's anything that is troubling you? Any stresses at the moment in your life?

Once you can see the wood for the trees you can start to make sense of what is going on.

I've the exact same thing. Those chest pains really feel like a heart attack symptom but for the last couple days I have been saying to myself that this thing is not gonna cause me to have heart attack. I mean you should change your way of thinking otherwise things get out of control and you're always on the edge. This is not living. You just ruin yourself. You should google amygdala. Trust me every bad thing we live about this is all because of it. You have to teach your amygdala not to freak you out when there is no real danger.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. Yeah is really taking over my life at the moment it's all I can think about, hopefully it gets better soon! I know it's because of my anxiety but at the same time my mind is telling me something is seriously wrong.

Hang in there. I understand you very well. Because it really feels like so, you know it's because anxiety but your mind doesn't listen to you and when the symptoms show up, your mind always prepares the-worst-case scenarios about your healt or make you feel like something bad is gonna happen to you. It's not our fault, it's our brain's but let's not forget, we control it so everything is up to us.

I'm sorry to hear what your going through . I'm 19 too but I've been dealing with this anxiety from a really young age and i truly know how you feel . I also deal with the dull chest pains , breathlessness , weakness and headaches. I've gotten tested a million times and all my tests were clear , its just the anxiety messing with you but please get checked out just to be sure what the problem is first so you could tackle it head on .

And if you ever need someone to talk to who understands please don't hesitate to contact me :) .

Xo
