Thinking of ....

I'm thinking of starting a daily blog. Where I could write about my daily experiences with anxiety and how I'm learning to cope with it. I just started seeing a new therapist that specializes in Anxiety,Depression and PTSD. ALL 3. Of which I have and I really feel like what I'm learning could help you guys too. And I would love to hear other people's story too. Would anyone be interested in reading it ? I would also be writing about my symptoms , history of my anxiety , and any new techniques I'm learning.

I'm going to start it tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone would like to know the link ? :)

Yes I would love to read it! I have suffered anxiety on and off for about 10 years but this last 2 years has been my worst I'm currently in bed reading these to try and calm myself because I have a heart monitor on just to make sure it's anxiety making my heart palpitate and nothing serious. I'm so scared and feel so alone. I just want this feeling to go away so I can go back to being my bright happy self again.

Really awesome ! :) I will defiantly put the link up on my profile on here. I hope that it will help you and show you that you ARE NOT alone. I also had to wear a heart monitor before I was diagnosed with anxiety . I hope you feel better and I hope that my blog will bring you some peace of mind as well !

Was it your anxiety that caused you to have to get your heart tested?

I was having a lot of palpitations. And I had shortness of breath. So my doctor sent me to a cardiologist. I had an ultrasound on my heart and wore a heart monitor for like a week . And it turned out that I just have anxiety. My heart is perfectly healthy.

That's good. I'm hoping it's the same for me. It's really overwhelming me with fear that something is wrong.

what symptoms led your doctors to have you wear a heart monitor ?

I had heart palpitations where my heart beat would feel like a skipped beat but was a early beat.. He done an ecg and seen the palp on that and said its nothing serious but to put my mind at ease and to rule anything else out he wanted me to wear the monitor for 24 hours.. I haven't had any palps since the day before yesterday but a bit of a racy heart now and then.. Everything that links up to anxiety is what I'm feeling but it's just really worrying me. I think not just am I worried about my heart but what If feel this way forever and never feel happy and like I used to again..

Keep holding onto what your doctor told you. If he wasn't worried about it you should try to not be worried yourself. Anxiety can make you feel all kinds of things. But try not to worry every time you start to think a negative thought just accept it and then tell yourself thank you for that but I choose to think this way and choose a positive thought. I have the same fear of my anxiety never going away. But what I'm learning through therapy is how to accept it and not hate my anxiety but befriend it.

Do you feel like you're getting better?

yes I do. That's why I've been wanting to write this blog. Because these tools that I'm learning that are helping me I want others to know about them.

I would love to have access to a blog like that coming from someone who is actually going through the same thing. Great idea :)
