Anxiety and depression
It is very hard on kids to see their mom unwell...they think of you as their rock. Sometimes we just cant be that for them. Your boyfriend may just feel helpless and not know what to do. We, as women, are always suppose to be strong and nurturing... That can be a lot of pressure for sure. I always did my best to give my kids a very simple explanation ... Like "mommy isn't feeling well right now but I'll be better soon." Give them a hug and ask them to hug you too. I always asked my husband (he has passed some years back - I do have a boyfriend now) but I always said and still say "I'm not doing really well right now and I just need your moral support" - and they have both done that. They can't solve my problems but they can be supportive and reassuring. the medicine doesn't alwayys help me either...so I tough it out. And I have always gotten thru it...when I look back I can say that with confidence. Keep posting, talk it out here...it will help you. It sure has helped me. Blessings to you. Hang in there.
Try getting yourself an appointment with an NHS service. Full listing here; iapt.nhs.uk/services/
though i'm not sure if all are up to date. For some you can refer yourself by contacting them directly. Others require referral from GP so talk to your GP again if you need to.
Push your GP to get you access to a talking therapy. they should offer therapy and not just drugs (guidance from NICE says so).
There is also helpline support from Anxiety UK, either on the phone or via email or in livechat with a trained volunteer. See anxietyuk.org.uk/
