Hi every one I'm just wondering if anyone else feels sick after worrying the food you ate was bad and will make you ill. I always feel I am gonna be sick after eating out.

Its ruining my life as can't eat anywhere with family as always worried I'm gonna get food poisoning. When I do eat out I feel sick and don't even want to move my jaw starts to hurt and I get a lump feeling in my throat.

Serious food poisoning is pretty rare and the occasional bout of gastroenteritis is so common that doctors tend to ignore it. I have IBS and very cautious about what I eat; I often feel sick all day, though vomiting with IBS is very rare. I find I can "eat through it" and don't feel any worse for it - if I worried about it, it would control my life and I'm anxious enough already! With regard to your diet, it might be more constructive to be cautious rather than anxious about what you eat, and you might find that improves your confidence; all the symptoms you quote are clearly anxiety and nothing to do with what you are actually eating.

Yes yes yes. All the time. Im very ocd with food and having grown up with a father who was a food hygiene inspector didn't help lol.i often refuse takeout and watch my family eat it while i eat a sandwich or something. Omg it goes on and on the things i obsess about with food lol. Luckily i trust my own cooking. No help for you there but at least im going through it too lol.

The lump is mucus, do you have allergies or are you catching a cold? After eating, drink LOTS of water because mucus can increase in your throat. (I don't recommend drinking milk) swallowing a lot of mucus can cause you to throw up or feel nauseas because you have an upset stomach. Search online on how you get mucus down or out of your throat or meet with your doctor. Good Luckk !!
