Headaches
Yes hun get 24/7 hurts me touch my head etc scare s me feel going mad worrying only makes it worse but not alone xxx
Hi,
I don't always get headaches, with anxiety, but if you are stressed out, then you get muscle tension, which in turn causes headache and then you get more anxious. A viscous circle.
Can you try putting extra tension on your neck muscles, i.e. shrugging your shoulders up the ears, then really letting go? Have you tried massage maybe to relax the muscles? Just a thought.

It could be tension headache. Check it out. Try not to worry it is nothing serious
Hi AmyJayne. Do you feel all tense as well? If your body is tense it might be causing headaches so you can try and find a good masseur and see if a massage will make a difference. Or, lie down with some gentle music and try some meditation, relaxing all your body as much as you can. Would that help you?
Hi Amy Jane - sorry to hear you are suffering from bad headaches. I know it will be no consolation to you at all but I was convinced I had a brain tumour over 35 years ago....and I'm afraid to say I've suffered ever since to varying degrees. Over the years I've never been without them totally but there has been better and worse times....recently they have returned with a vengeance but they do now seem to be stress/anxiety/whatever-you-may-call-it related. It is almost impossible to distinguish between a real headache and the constant state you suffer. Now, I also think it's an age thing, my neck is really bad....
Over the years I have badgered various Doctors who have all been pretty good. I have had changes of meds, MRI scans, cranio-sacral treatment, acupuncture etc etc. I practice Yoga which I love and gives me some temporary relief...but nothing does it totally and I have no just accepted I have to live with it and manage it as best I can. I hate it as, obvously, it also affects my state of mind.
When I was younger I used to run a lot and, looking back, it was the only time I was free of stress/anxiety and the pain of the headaches. I knew I loved the experience and it almost became and obsessive pursuit but I didn't really understand until later in life just what I needed it so much. Unfortunately, my knees, ankles etc don't allow me to run any more and, although I try to keep relatively fit and active, anything else is a very poor relation.....I really must give cycling a proper go...
Certainly exercise did seem to do it for me - and specifically running. So if you are young enough and feel up to it follow the Nike marketing slogan and "Just Do It"! Seriously though, if you can please do consider giving running (or a similar aerobic exercise) a go.
I hope your suffering is temporary.

Thankyou everyone I appreciate it xxx
